8.1.3. Adjustment of draught of a gear change
THE GENERAL DATA

Draught of a gear change, control lever a transmission and a cable of blocking of inclusion of a reverse gear

1 – draught of the lever of a gear change,
2 – the plug of blocking of a reverse gear,
3 – a cable of blocking of inclusion of a reverse gear,
4 – draught of a choice of transfers,
5 – an intermediate element,
6 – a connector of a choice of transfers,
7 – the lever of a choice of transfers,
8 – the intermediate lever of a gear change,
9 – an intermediate connector of the external mechanism of a gear change

If the gear change rigid or inexact, probably, the reason of it is covered in draught of a gear change. In this case it is recommended to remove draught of a gear change, to check up on deterioration and damages and after greasing of all шарнирных connections to establish draught into place. On some early models of cars if necessary it is possible to adjust length of draught of a gear change. However this adjustment is intended for initial installation of draught (at replacement of draught on new or if the length of draught does not correspond to norm) and not intended for deterioration indemnification while in service.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lift a forward part of the car and to fix on supports.
2. To measure length of draught of a gear change centre to centre which should make 246,0 mm. If the length of draught does not correspond to norm it is necessary to weaken a counternut and to remove a tip of draught with spherical swivel connections from the lever on transmissions. To rotate a tip of draught before distance reception centre to centre the draughts, equal 246,0 mm, then to connect a tip of draught with spherical шарнирным connection and to tighten a counternut.
3. To check up that the gear change mechanism is correctly adjusted also the gear change lever in neutral position occupies demanded position.
