Coupling consists of a disk of the coupling, a leading part of coupling with a press disk and the deenergizing mechanism. The deenergizing mechanism – mechanical also copes a self-regulated cable. The coupling disk is established between a flywheel and a press disk of coupling and moves on шлицам a primary shaft of a transmission.

The leading knot of coupling is screwed by bolts on a flywheel. The twisting moment at engine work is transferred from a cranked shaft through a flywheel and a disk of coupling which is clamped between a flywheel and a press disk, to a primary shaft of a transmission. To disconnect the engine from a transmission, it is necessary to take away press a disk from a coupling disk. On cars Peugeot use two various mechanisms of deenergizing of coupling. The first – usual type where выжимной the bearing is established on primary to a transmission shaft. The second type – where выжимной the bearing is an integral part of leading knot of coupling.

As the spare part it is delivered unified картер the couplings, allowing to apply both decisions. In the first case (with the deenergizing lever) application of the spherical hinge of a disk corresponding to diameter is obligatory. Characteristic sizes of the sizes of adjustment of coupling remained without changes.

By pressing a pedal of coupling the cable moves and turns a plug of deenergizing of coupling for the top end of a plug. A plug, turning, compresses springs of press type and takes away press a disk from a coupling disk.

Since January, 1988 the lever of deenergizing of coupling has been replaced by the special axis passing through картер couplings and operated directly a cable (without the intermediate lever).

As frictional overlays of a disk of coupling wear out, the height of a pedal of coupling increases, therefore it is necessary to regulate a coupling cable to guarantee correct action of coupling. However from the middle of 1994 the cable of coupling with automatic adjustment (it can be established and on earlier models) is established. The automatic regulator is included in the central part of a cable of coupling.
