3.4.1.1. The ignition coil
THE GENERAL DATA

On early models the ignition coil is established on the block of cylinders above a starter or on an inlet collector. On later models the ignition coil is established at the left end face of a head of the block of cylinders.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. To remove hoses of ventilation from a casing of an inlet collector and the regulating valve of temperature of air.
3. To remove a socket of electroconducting from the condenser established on the coil of ignition.
4. To remove high-voltage wires (drawing at the left) and a socket (drawing on the right) from the ignition coil.
5. To unscrew two bolts (fastenings of the coil of ignition (on the right – bolts of fastening of the coil of ignition on system Bosch L3.1 are specified by arrows)).
6. To remove the ignition coil (in drawing – system of ignition Motronic).
