3.4.3. Direct system of ignition

The ignition system in the engine with working volume 1998 sm3 model XU10J4 (with 16 valves) has "direct" type. System components consist of two modules-amplifiers, four coils of ignition and the detonation gauge. The ignition system is united with system of injection of fuel in a control system of engine ECU (through blocks of the amplifier of ignition).

Each block of the amplifier of ignition operates two coils of ignition: combined with candle tips and established directly on the spark plugs, one coil on a candle. It excludes application of high-voltage wires. ECU uses inputs from various gauges to calculate demanded installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition and time of accumulation of energy the ignition coil.

The detonation gauge is established on a head of the block of cylinders and prevents a detonation in cylinders under loading. The gauge is sensitive to vibration and finds out a detonation which occurs when the fuel mix in cylinders burns down with a detonation. The detonation gauge sends an electric signal to block ECU which, in turn, reduces installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition while детонацияне stops.
