THE GENERAL DATA

Carburettor models and models with system of injection of fuel Bosch L3. l-Jetronic and Bosch LU2 - Jetronic are equipped by transistor contactless system of ignition.

The transistor system of ignition consists of the distributor with the magnetic gauge, the electronic module and the ignition coil.

As well as the classical distributor, the contactless distributor has centrifugal and vacuum regulators (depression causes knot moving "a magnet-disk with ledges").

The electronic module is attached to a body by means of the aluminium plate providing heat removal. Module function is transformation of a signal from the generator of impulses in an operating signal. The module the target amplifier with the transistor of Darlington and a time element has the scheme of formation of a signal of the distributor, the calculator of constant energy.

The coil of the ignition which have been specially picked up to system, is fixed on a final collector.

Work

The magnetic part of the distributor named the generator of impulses, consists of the ring magnet fixed by four rivets on a disk with four ledges (on one on the cylinder), and from the inductance coil.

Other disk with four ledges is fixed on a distributor shaft.

The magnetic stream around the coil changes as moving of ledges of a rotating disk concerning ledges of a motionless disk. Change of a magnetic stream raises electromotive power in the coil of inductance. This force has the maximum value while the magnetic stream decreases with the greatest speed and when suddenly changes a direction i.e. when ledges are against each other.

The module calculator recalculates speed of rotation of the distributor, pressure of the accumulator and a coil impedance so that during each moment of time the energy size on an exit was a constant.

When the distributor generator any more does not emit additional impulses, the amplifier transistor is blocked and blocks a current in a primary winding of the coil.
