Removal

The prevention At steering wheel installation on a former place it is necessary to use a new nut and a washer.

| 1. To establish wheels for movement directly forward. |
| 2. By means of the lever to remove furnish of the central part of a steering wheel. |
| 3. To put combination labels between the end of a shaft of a steering column of management and a steering wheel nave. |
|
4. Using a face key with the extension piece to unscrew a nut of fastening of a steering wheel on some turns. |
| 5. Palms of hands, strongly to strike from a steering wheel underside to remove a steering wheel from shaft grooves. |
| 6. Definitively to unscrew a nut and to remove a steering wheel. |

Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
MODELS WITH THE SAFETY PILLOW
The prevention The block of management of a safety pillow is a steering wheel component.
At steering wheel removal it is necessary to fulfil following requirements:
– Not to throw a steering wheel;
– Not to assort a steering wheel;
– Not to establish a steering wheel from other model of the car (even from other models Peugeot 405) as the block of management is calibrated by a safety pillow for each specific model.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, taking into account following moments:
– To combine the labels put before removal;
– To establish a new washer and to tighten a nut of fastening of a steering wheel the demanded moment;
– To establish a safety pillow. |
