THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention

Unscrewed at removal it is necessary to replace all nuts Nyloc with the new. The carving of these nuts is covered by structure against unscrewing which is effective only at the first use of a nut.

Not to lower the car on wheels with one or both power shafts disconnected from a nave as the nave bearing can be damaged. If it is necessary to move the car, temporarily to insert a power shaft into a nave and to fix its nut.

Two various types of a rotary fist can be applied, depending on model. Earlier elements of a nave continuous, and later hollow, also can be identified on aperture presence from above knot (fig. Identification of a rotary fist of late releases see). At installation to a former place to pay attention that the tightening moments differ for two types of a rotary fist. The changed bottom levers are adapted for connection with later rotary fists, and early bottom levers and last rotary fists are not interchangeable.

Identification of a rotary fist of late releases

Identification of a rotary fist of late releases is made on an aperture (it is specified by an arrow) in the top part.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a cap of a nave of a wheel, to take R-shaped bracket and a blocking head. To weaken a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave on the car, standing wheels on the earth. Also to weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel. To lift a forward part of the car and to fix on supports. To remove a corresponding forward wheel.
2. On the models equipped ABS to remove the gauge established on a wheel of the car.
3. To unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft.
4. To unscrew two bolts крепящие a brake support to a rotary fist, and to remove a support from a brake disk. Using a soft wire to tie up a support to a suspension bracket spring.
5. Using a chalk or a paint, to note arrangements of a brake disk in relation to a nave, then to unscrew the screw securing the a brake disk to a nave, and to remove a disk.
6. For investment of removal of a rotary fist from a rack to establish the adaptation for compression of springs and slightly to compress springs or to keep a spring in the compressed condition with use of ropes (the adaptation 0903 AF) for what to execute following actions:
      – To establish one of ropes in one of two top apertures (fig. Installation of keeping ropes (0903 AF) in the top part of a rack of a suspension bracket and fig. Installation of keeping ropes (0903 AF) in the bottom part of a rack of a suspension bracket see);
      – To turn a steering wheel and to establish the second rope;
      – Into apertures of the bottom cup to insert зацепки each rope;
      – Into apertures to insert bolts in diameter of 6 mm for prevention of loss of ropes.
7. To unscrew a bolt, securing the a connector of the stabilizer of cross-section stability to the bottom lever.
8. To unscrew a nut, крепящую steering bent for to a rotary fist and to take the spherical hinge of steering draught from a rotary fist. For extraction of the spherical hinge of steering draught from a rotary fist it is necessary to use a universal stripper of spherical hinges.
9. To unscrew a nut of fastening of the bottom spherical hinge and to take a pin of the spherical hinge from the bottom lever.
10. To unscrew a nut (it is specified by arrows) and to take tightening a bolt of a rack of a rotary fist, noticing that the bolt is established from the back party of the car. At installation it is necessary to use new tightening a bolt and a nut.
11. To insert the lever into a groove in a rotary fist, and to expand a groove so that it was possible to remove a rotary fist from a rack. In the presence of the adaptation 8.0903 АЕ to establish it in a groove in a rotary fist, and to turn on 90 ° for groove expansion so that it was possible to remove a rotary fist from a rack.
12. To remove a rotary fist from the rack end, then to remove it from the end of a power shaft and to remove from the car. By means of a soft wire to tie up a power shaft to a car body.

Installation

Installation of a rotary fist


1 – a bolt of fastening of a rotary fist to a rack of a suspension bracket,

2 – bolts of fastening of a support,

3 – a nut of the bottom spherical hinge,

4 – a connector of draught of the stabilizer,

5 – steering draught

Backlash on later ledges of a clip


The backlash (A) on later ledges of a clip of a rotary fist should not be less than 6,5 mm.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To check up that Slots on the external end of a power shaft and grooves in a nave the pure. To pull a nave over power shaft grooves.
2. To pull a rotary fist over the bottom part of a rack of a suspension bracket, levelling a crack in a rotary fist with a ledge on the rack end. To insert new tightening a bolt from the back party of the car, to screw on a bolt a nut and to tighten the demanded moment.
3. Two types of rotary fists can be applied. For installation of later rotary fists it is necessary to measure after a tightening of a tightening bolt a backlash between ledges of a clip of a rotary fist (the Backlash fig. see later ledges of a clip). The backlash should not be less, than 6,5 mm. If the backlash is less, than specified, to execute following actions:
      – To check up a condition of the bottom end of a rack. If diameter of a rack has been compressed, the shock-absorber can be damaged, and it is necessary to replace a rack;
      – If the rack is not damaged, but the backlash between ledges of a clip of a rotary fist still is less than specified, to replace a rotary fist.
4. To combine the bottom spherical hinge with the bottom lever and to fix it with use of a new nut.
5. To connect the spherical hinge of steering draught to a rotary fist and to fix a new nut.
6. To establish a bolt of fastening of the stabilizer of cross-section stability to the bottom lever, and to tighten the demanded moment.
7. To establish a brake disk.
8. To grease an internal part and a carving of a nut of fastening of a power shaft with pure engine oil and to screw a nut on a power shaft. To fix a nut of fastening of a power shaft the demanded moment. To check up that the nave rotates freely, to establish a head of blocking of a nut of a power shaft so that one of safety locks was combined with an aperture of a power shaft and to fix its R-shaped bracket.
9. To remove the adaptation for compression of springs.
10. On the models equipped ABS to establish the gauge of rotation of a wheel.
11. To establish a wheel and to lower the car.
