THE GENERAL DATA
The prevention

On models since 1994 the specified interval for this procedure – 60 000 km.

TU MODELS

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove brackets and to disconnect a vacuum hose and a ventilation hose картера (are specified by arrows) in a forward part of the air filter.
2. The cover of the air filter is located on the left side of a motor compartment (drawing at the left). To remove brackets from a cover of the air filter (drawing on the right).
3. To lift the receiver from a casing of the air filter.
4. To uncover the air filter.
5. To take filtering element of the air filter from a casing.
6. To establish a new element in a casing.
7. To establish a cover of the air filter, to fix bracket and to connect earlier removed hoses.

XU MODELS (EXCEPT XU10J4) WITH THE AIR FILTER ESTABLISHED SIDEWAYS

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove an air line from the filter case.
2. To remove brackets and a cover of the air filter.
3. To take filtering element of the air filter from a casing.
4. To establish a new element in a casing.
5. To establish a cover of the air filter.

XU MODELS (EXCEPT XU10J4) WITH THE AIR FILTER ESTABLISHED FROM ABOVE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a collar of fastening of an air line (fastening elements are specified by arrows).
2. To weaken bracket preservations and to disconnect a tube from an entrance aperture on a back part of a head of the block of cylinders.
3. To unscrew two screws located on the forward party of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, to uncover and take the filter.
4. To remove a filter covering.
5. To take filtering element.
6. To establish a new filtering element, bracket preservations, a cover and to connect a hose.

XU10J4 MODELS WITH 16 VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect an air line and to uncover the air filter.
2. To take filtering element of the air filter.
3. To establish a new element.
4. To establish a cover and an air line.

DIESEL ENGINES

The air filter it is necessary to change each 45000 km or each 30000 km if the car is maintained on roads with a strong dust content or in areas with strong air pollution.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
It is necessary to unfasten a cover and then to take the filter.
