5.2. Cooling system
Cooling system
The cooling system – the closed type, under pressure, includes the water pump with a drive from a gear belt, an aluminium radiator with a compound broad tank, the electric fan of cooling, the thermostat, system of heating devices, hoses and switches. The system functions as follows. The cold cooling liquid from the radiator basis passes through a hose to the pump and is pumped over through the main channels of the block of cylinders and oil radiators (if are available). After cooling of cylinders of the engine, chambers of combustion and saddles of valves the cooling liquid reaches an underside of the thermostat which is originally closed. Also the cooling liquid passes through system of heating and comes back through the block of cylinders to the pump. At the cold engine the cooling liquid circulates only through the block of cylinders, a head of the block of cylinders and heating system. When the cooling liquid reaches the predetermined temperature, the thermostat opens and the cooling liquid passes through the top hose to a radiator. As the cooling liquid circulates through a radiator, it is cooled by air stream at movement of the car or the radiator fan at parking with working engine. After achievement of the basis of a radiator the cooling liquid is cooled also a cycle repeats. The electric fan of system of cooling copes a thermoswitch. At certain temperature of a cooling liquid the temperature-sensitive element includes the fan. The prevention
